1986 - Manitoba Physical Education Teachers Association - MPETA AWARD (Teacher of the Year Award) - "For outstanding contributions to the teaching of physical education in Manitoba schools".

2003 - The Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD) - The R. Tait McKenzie AWARD OF HONOUR - "In recognition of distinguished service to the profession, and unremitting zeal in promoting its aims and objects".
